New Beginnings
|
I am new to posting a comment.
After a first meeting casual lunch with a Christian Lady l met on a Christian site, and only one meeting, but plenty of phone conversations before and after the meeting. She insists on commitment, always referencing I was the one the Lord sent to her. I was hoping on a long lasting friendship to know each other. I feel awkward when this reference is to me. Should this quote be kept personal and not expressed to the person directly.

Wow! Sounds like she has you cornered.
If you really think she is compatible with you, then keep up the momentum and start opening the car door for her or stand up when she comes into a room or call her when she's not expecting it, but if she is pushing herself on you and don't feel comfortable, then she needs to know that YOU don't know if God sent her to you or not. I don't think you need to encourage that thread of conversation at all if all you want is friendship.
What indicators would you give to her if you felt you wanted to go to a deeper level with her? Just curious because I'm pondering that with someone right now?

Thank-You Mayflower
Our conversations are not about us. Our theme is how our Lord has blessed us. Because we live in different cities, we worship in different churches but both are spirit filled. I enjoy listening because l am learning more of how the Lord works in our lives, we talk about our sons and daughters and laugh a lot, who our favorite evangelists are, really a wholesome conversation of epistles in the bible. Because l have relatives in her city, and I am relocating there soon, having a christian friend to talk to is so uplifting to me. The indicators to a deeper relationship are a natural response, a feeling that you feel and it reflects in a simple look, holding hands, little things like that, not by words.
