Well guys, the enemy has been out to get me. I've encountered two Christians who tell me that God accepts homosexual behavior and that homosexuality isn't the same today as it was in the bible days because in the bible days it was based on lust and it wasn't consensual. Today, it's based on love. While I do know that a lot of homosexual relationships are based on love, I don't think I can say that God blesses or accepts a relationship between two people of the same sex. Sex is meant for marriage and if God doesn't recognize same sex unions, how can sleeping with some one of the same sex not be wrong? Or am I reading God's Word incorrectly?

One of the guys told me that God never blessed the Bible and that it was written by man. Even the things the prophets and disciples wrote can't be completely accurate because it didn't come DIRECTLY from God's or Jesus' mouth. This guy is FLAT out confusing me. They both are actually...

I'm glad that you're sharing this. Satan and his forces are attacking everyone, causing a lot of confusion and blindness (including Christians). The Holy Bible is God's word. These "Christians" are fake. God clearly states in the Holy Bible of the sexual immoralities we should abstain from (Incest, Bestiality, Fornication, Homosexuality, and a few others I remember right now). God also showed an example in the Bible... He destroyed the cities Sodom and Gomorrah. Both cities infamous for homosexual activities and wicked sins.

God's intention on marriage is ONLY between a man and a woman. Hence he created Adam and Eve.

Alot of Christian Church denominations are now ordaining homosexuals to become Pastors, but what they are doing is WRONG. In my opinion, those Churches can not do anything because they will get lawsuits from homosexuals and their lawyers.

I will pray that God will give you wisdom and protection from these lies.

Society has justified them and calls it genetic, hereditary, and anything they can think of, so now the homosexual sector believes that they can justify themselves with God. The word says it is an abomination to God and while they can repent and be forgiven, they have to make an effort to leave that lifestyle and not continue on in sin. They don't like to hear that.

Satan has taken the love we feel for one another and the sympathy we feel for people in bad situations and perverted it, so many major churches accept them and their lifestyle and even condone it.

You know, God loves us all, but just as we love our children, His love is not all condoning and doesn't pat us on the back for wrongdoing. People have lost that conception of God and want to think that because God IS love that He endorses and condones anything we do. That is not so.

Thanks guys. I 100% agree with the both of you. A lot of Christians are being shaped by the world and we as Christians are supposed to hold on to the truth about God.

I'm dealing with this very thing with my daughter right now and she has latched herself to the very fact that Jesus loves everyone and that this is alright and that I am not flawless and I am cruel when I point out scripture such as 1 Timothy 1:5-11.

These young christians have even made a documentary on youtube which explains just how much they are teaching and proclaiming it in the church.

I believe that the church ought to start a major campaign of teaching our young people what to look out for as far as false doctrine so that they will be ready when it comes their way, and it's right there at their doorstep.

Please, just stay away from these two young men and follow God's Word and do not attempt to twist God's Word. Truth will prevail...I certainly hope it prevails in my daughter's life.

this homosexuality post is exactly what i was talking about in a post on eternal security!

a kid i grew up with, now he is an adult and 40 years old, was a born again christian. he was one of the most dedicated christian young men i had ever known. well, he is gay and living with a teacher we had in 6th grade!

now, tell me ppl....since he was a born again christian, you say he will enter heaven when he dies. yeah...ok...whatev. isn't this a sin he is committing? isn't this what God forbids and stands against?

lol...ok...believe what you want, but if he doesn't ask God for forgiveness and turn his life around and redeems himself, he is NOT going to heaven no matter what!

I agree with the others... and I totally abhor homosexuality too. Though I have gay friends... I love them and I cringe every time they do things not ordained by God, for I know that they are doing much damage to their souls... and I can only do as far as telling them what is written in the bible. I understand Jeannie4Christ's confusion... I was always trying to ponder on the possibility of acceptance of that union for a time... but then i realized, that it's never in the natural design of God to have both sexes in such a blessed union... this new age philosophies spreading around like poison... talking about Love and soul mates (whether man to man, or woman to woman)... and if you don't read the bible carefully, you'd get lost by their wonderful explanations and soothing affirmations of 'feelings'. Then I realized... who are behind these false doctrines? Nonetheless, they are inspired by the fallen angels themselves... who are these fallen angels? They used to be sons of heaven... they used to be sons of Love... so no wonder they know the truth about Love too, for they used to be in union with it... but as timeless tale would tell, they have become the adversary of truth... and they are so good at twisting it... so they maybe feeding something true about Love, but is mixed with falsehood... it's a big deception indeed - a big lie.

Now i understand how to distinguish the kind of Love they're spreading... it's the kind of Love that leads us to 'freedom', that would eventually lead us to DISOBEDIENCE, making us sons of disobedience entitled for the same punishment they themselves (fallen angels) are suffering ... but the kind Love that is preached in the Bible, is the kind that would lead us to OBEDIENCE.

Very well put warrior7! I wish I could copy and send this to my daughter, but she would only throw back to me that I was making another verbal attack on her. It's very frustrating the way satan takes our kids and makes us look like the bad guys, when in fact, deception is all around them. She's not in relationship right now, but she is very much entrenched in this mindgame. Please pray for her. Thanks,

All of you guys had some very informing things to say. Mayflower- I will pray for your daughter and thanks for the advice about these guys. I should have nothing more to do with them and I should pray that God reveals the truth to them.

vixenkat_2001- I know what you mean. I have a friend who's gay and believe she can live that lifestyle and go to heaven and that Jesus loves her for who she is and what she is. Yes, God loves us but He HATES sin. Sin is what keeps us separated from Him and rightly so. We Christians need to hold on to the truth about God and Christ no matter what! Who cares what the world accepts. We're God's children. We are not of the world. Marriage is sacred and no matter if gay marriage gets legalized they're still fornicating because God doesn't recognize a union between two men and two women. I love gay people. I love everyone bit I love God a whole lot more. I know that may sound harsh but it's the truth. If you're a bible believing Christian then people automatically dub you as a judgmental bigot and that's not fair.

I'm not the best of Christians, but I pray that God will soften my heart in areas that it needs to be softened. Once again thank you all for sharing!

interesting topic of discussion...i too have thought about these things, that man wrote the bible, whether homosexuality is right, etc.

yes it's true that the bible was written by man, but who's to say it couldn't have been inspired by God? who are you to say that God didn't come to these men in dreams and speak to them deep down in their hearts and guide them as to what to write? none of us can say because none of us were there, and none of us were these men who "wrote" the bible. but i TRUST the bible nevertheless because it brings me peace and love and i just feel good when i read it, and its scriptures on love and christ's story makes sense to me. because I have seen God's work in my life and in others' lives, that is how i can believe. and another reason why i know the bible is right is because it teaches you how to have a relationship with God, and when you love God (or anyone else for that matter), you trust Him. And i know that even if i don't have all the answers now, if I keep on trusting God, all will be revealed to me in heaven.

as for the homosexuality thing, i'm sort of still torn on whether it is partly due to genetics (that's just the scientist in me!)...but no matter what, i know that we all have challenges in life, and it's because of God that we can get through them. And Jesus taught us that the cardinal rule is to love everyone no matter what...i have friends who are homosexual, and that doesn't mean that i have to agree with everything that they do, but i love them for who they are no matter what because that's what Jesus taught me.
